About

I am a 30-something currently living in Glasgow. I enjoy the outdoors more than indoors and am happiest up a hill on my bike and Scotland is the perfect place for that.

I have wanted to live with less for a long time, and I am currently in the midst of making that a reality. I have sold and given away a lot of my 'stuff' and have quite a bit more to go, no more furniture, no games consoles, no dust-gathering things on shelves. Some sentimental items such as photographs will be going into storage and I will be putting some clothes at my partners flat but aside from that I will soon be living with what I can fit in my van partly for the challenge, partly for the freedom from 'things' and partly to save money to have adventures.

I am currently close to completing my second van conversion, this one is tall enough to stand in, long enough to live in (I hope) and will have excellent heating, insulation and storage. A full size bed, seating, running (cold) water, a sink, hob and lots of natural light. This will be my home for a while so that I can afford to visit more places outside of Scotland and fill my life with memories and views rather than things.

I know it will be a challenge, I have had my doubts, I have them daily, but the call of the outdoors is too strong and I hope it will all be worth it. I have good friends I will be calling on when times get tough, I have good clothes and an ex mod sleeping bag I will need when it gets cold, I am not going into this with rose tinted glasses but I am also not afraid of things getting difficult in order to follow my heart.

If you feel you can help in any way be it moral support, offers of freelance work (I am a graphic designer) or if you have any products, services or ideas that may be of use to me, then get in touch, I will be happy to discuss any and all opportunities and suggestions as I venture on this crazy journey. Join me.
